A suspected thug arrested by security agents during Saturday’s off-cycle Governorship election in Bayelsa State with arms and ammunition has confessed to working for the Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Joshua Mcaiver.

The suspect, who identified himself as Jonah Daomiaye, was arrested by security agents in Fonibri community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state.

Jonah, who was seen being questioned by security agents in a one minute 24-second video in which he appears stripped of his clothing, and holding some pieces of live ammunition, confessed to working for the APC deputy governorship candidate as a political thug.

He told security agents that he was in Fonibri community, where he was arrested during Saturday’s election on behalf of his boss, Mcaiver.

Jonah also confessed to being arrested with some arms and ammunition found in his possession during Saturday’s election in the community.

Asked what he was using the arms and ammunition for, the suspect told the security agents, “We use the arms during election activities.”
