Bauchi Police Arrests Notorious Rustlers and Kidnappers

police logoThe Bauchi Police Command has arrested notorious cattle rustlers, kidnappers in one week special operation against hardened criminals in the state.

The spokesperson of Bauchi Police Command SP Haruna Mohammed in a weekly briefing disclosed that Police detectives attached to Soro Division arrested one Rabiu Bello who conspired with three others in Rustling 130 cows and 40 sheep in Falgore Forest belonging to one Umar Ali, Abubakar Mohd and Mohammed Gide of Kabuga town in Kano State.

The suspects further robbed them of cash sum of Three Hundred Thousand Naira(N300,000).

Exhibits recovered from the suspects include, arms and ammunitions.

Investigation is in progress to apprehend fleeing accomplices and recover the stolen cattle.

Meanwhile, police detectives attached to Ningi Division arrested Sani Haruna alias Babangida who conspired with his friend Bello Ibrahim in kidnapping his step mother and demanded for N100,000 ransom from his father to secure her release.

The victim has been rescued while the arrested suspects will soon be arraigned in court.

In another development, a 32 years old Cletus Paulus of Kijim village in Bogoro LGA was discovered hanged from  a tree behind his house in a case suspected be a suicide.

Autopsy would be conducted on the body to determine the actual causes of the death.
