The Anambra State Government has issued an urgent appeal to the public for assistance in locating the family of Ms. Happiness Ezennanya, a state indigene recently brought back from Lagos by unknown individuals alongside her newborn baby.

In a statement released on Wednesday in Awka by the Ministry’s Media Officer, Mr. Dominic Michael, the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs. Chinyere Onyekesi, revealed that authorities have been unable to reunite the young mother with her relatives due to a lack of detailed background information.

According to Onyekesi, Ms. Ezennanya has been unable to provide clear details regarding her precise community or family background since her return to the state.

“A woman identified as Miss Happiness Ezennanya, from Anambra, has been brought back from Lagos State with her newborn baby,” the Commissioner stated. “Unfortunately, she has been unable to provide vital information about her home or background, which has made it difficult for the authorities to trace her origin.”

The Ministry noted that the only key details obtained from Ms. Ezennanya so far are that she attended Awka Community Primary School and worshiped at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Awka.

The Anambra State Ministry of Women and Social Welfare is urging members of the public, particularly residents of Awka and surrounding communities, to step forward with any useful information that could assist in locating her family and ensuring her safe reunion.
