Ambode Revs into Action, Sacks Fashola Appointees, LASTMA, LAWMA Directors Affected

ambode1Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has sacked 76 Managing Directors, General Managers and all heads of Government Parastatals and Agencies as he dissolves all boards of parastatals in the State.

Affected by the sack are the General Manager, Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA); former Governor Babatunde Fashola’s sisters, Ms Olayinka Fashola; Managing Director, Lagos Internal Revenue Service, Tunde Fowler; General Manager, Lagos Waste Management Agency, Ola Oresanya, among others.

A statement from the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Tunji Bello said Ambode had approved the dissolution of all Boards of Parastatals and Agencies of Government with immediate effects.

According to the statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tunji Bello, the dissolution is with the exception of the Civil Service Commission, Judicial Service Commission and the State Independent Electoral Commission.

While expressing the appreciation of the Governor for the modest contribution of members of the dissolved Boards, Mr. Bello wished them well in their future endeavour.

The statement added that constitution of new Boards would be effected in due course.

Before the action, Ambode had taken briefs from all heads of the agencies and parastatals.
