Amangbo advises Nigerians to reflect on past activities at Christmas

Admin November 20, 2017

November 20, 2017

Mr Peter Amangbo, the Managing Director of Zenith Bank, has advised Nigerians to take advantage of the Christmas to reflect on their past activities.

Amangbo gave the advice during the official inauguration of the bank’s Christmas decoration on Ajose Adeogun Street on Victoria Island in Lagos.

According to him, as we are approaching the end of the calendar year, it is important we reflect on our performances from the beginning of the year.

He said that this reflection would strengthen individuals to plan to finish the year well.

Amangbo said said the bank would soon host its annual Youth Parade which would bring together school children from around Lagos for a day out with the top management of the bank.

He said that the official light-up ceremony by the bank had ushered in celebrations and 2017 New Year festivities.

“Now in its sixth year, the Zenith Christmas decoration has continued to get better every year.

“This year will go down as the biggest, covering the entire stretch of Ajose Adeogun – from Eko Hotel to Ligali Ayorinde and the Lay-by aroung the Eko Hotel Roundabout,” he said.

Amangbo said the decoration was the bank’s traditional way of reminding customers and staff “that its not work, work all the time”.

“It is a way of reminding ourselves that there are so many other things that complement the work we do as humans and that is basically why we are doing this.

“I want to use this special opportunity to thank our customers and stakeholders all over the universe and importantly all members of our great and unique Zenith Bank.

“We appreciate you all so much because you worked so hard, you show commitment and hard work to this great bank,” he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Eko Hotel Round About, venue of the ceremony, was turned to a centre of attraction on Friday evening as many tropped out to witness the official inauguration of the Christmas decorations.

Many were seen taking pictures and generally having good time, especially with the beautiful outdoor motorised Christmas displays and decorations.

Horses on powered rail tracks provided jolly rides to the admiration of spectators and at the beautiful, ecstatic decorations and lightings

Apart from helping to create the mood for the season, the annual Zenith Bank Christmas decoration is a beautiful sight at night.

When the decoration lights are on, road users and pedestrians cannot help, but admire the sheer brilliance of the lighting and decorations.

NAN also reports that the Zenith Cube glowed to illuminate the mass expanse of Victoria Island.

Mr Adesh Patil, an India who designed the project, said it was designed to create a beautiful environment during the Yuletide.

Patil said that he spent over one month on the project and used five days to test it to ensure that it all worked well to expectation.
