Party Projects Blend of Public Sector Experience and Private Sector Enterprise as Winning Formula for Adamawa’s Transformation
The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has officially unveiled Engr. Safriel Judson Glah, a retired senior executive of NNPC Limited and accomplished engineer, as the Deputy Governorship Candidate and running mate to the party’s Adamawa State Governorship Candidate, Hon. Abdulrahman Haske, for the 2027 governorship election.
The announcement was made at a media briefing held on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Top Rank Hotel, Abuja, where the party formally presented Engr. Glah as part of what it described as a formidable ticket built on competence, experience and a shared vision for the progress of Adamawa State.
In a message issued to commemorate the unveiling, Hon. Haske described the selection of Engr. Glah as a strategic decision informed by competence, integrity, experience and a proven record of service.
According to Haske, the Haske-Glah ticket reflects the leadership balance required to unlock Adamawa’s enormous economic potential, strengthen governance institutions and accelerate inclusive development across the state.
“Today marks an important milestone in our collective vision for a more prosperous and forward-looking Adamawa State. In Engr. Safriel Glah, we have found a partner whose distinguished career embodies excellence, discipline, professionalism and selfless service,” he stated.
Haske noted that while his background has been shaped by entrepreneurship, investment and private-sector leadership, Engr. Glah brings more than three decades of experience in public service, engineering management, environmental governance and institutional leadership.
“Our partnership represents a convergence of complementary strengths. While I have spent years building businesses, creating opportunities and promoting enterprise, Engr. Glah has built an outstanding record in public administration, policy implementation and strategic leadership. Together, we offer Adamawa a competent, balanced and results-oriented team dedicated to transforming the fortunes of our state.”
He expressed confidence that the combination of public-sector experience and private-sector innovation would provide a strong foundation for economic growth, job creation, improved service delivery and shared prosperity across Adamawa State.
Engr. Glah brings more than 34 years of distinguished service in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, culminating in her retirement as General Manager and Head of Environment, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) at NNPC Limited. A Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), she is widely respected for her contributions to engineering, sustainability, leadership development and community service.
Accepting her nomination, Engr. Glah expressed appreciation to the leadership of the party and the people of Adamawa State for the confidence reposed in her. “I stand before you today humbled and profoundly grateful as I accept the responsibility of serving as the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement alongside my principal and Governorship Candidate, Hon. Abdulrahman Bashir Haske. I deeply appreciate the confidence placed in me and the privilege to serve.”
She said her professional journey had taught her that leadership demands responsibility, teamwork and measurable results. “As Deputy Governorship Candidate, I will support my principal, complement his leadership and work with our team to promote a vision of inclusive development, opportunity, accountability and sustainable progress for Adamawa State.”
Engr. Glah further emphasised the need to unlock Adamawa State’s vast but largely untapped socioeconomic potential. She noted that realising this potential would require collective effort and a shared commitment to development, stressing that meaningful opportunities can only be created when leaders and citizens work together.
While stating that politics should serve as a platform for unity rather than division, anchored on the principles of service, responsibility and measurable results, she reaffirmed her commitment to the ticket and the people of Adamawa.
“I pledge my loyalty, cooperation and dedication as we undertake this journey together. To the people of Adamawa State, I am ready to listen, ready to work and ready to serve,” Engr. Glah said.
Meanwhile, in separate interviews following the unveiling, the National Chairman of APM, Alh. Yusuf Dantalle, and the Adamawa State Chairman of the party, Hon. Badejo Bello, described the Haske-Glah ticket as a formidable partnership positioned to provide purposeful and inclusive leadership ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Dantalle said the party had deliberately assembled a ticket that blends Hon. Haske’s record of entrepreneurship, innovation and economic vision with Engr. Glah’s extensive experience in public service, policy implementation and institutional leadership. According to him, the combination presents a compelling platform for sustainable development, economic growth and effective governance in Adamawa State.
Similarly, Bello described Engr. Glah’s emergence as a major boost to the party’s electoral prospects, noting that her distinguished public-sector career and strategic management expertise perfectly complement Haske’s accomplishments in business, youth empowerment and enterprise development. He expressed confidence that the partnership would resonate across the state as a symbol of competence, integrity and inclusive leadership capable of moving Adamawa to greater heights.
