The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has continued to grow in membership and strength. The surge into the Africcan Democratic Congress after the December 31, 2025 declaration in Enugu by Mr. Peter Obi has been unprecedented.

The party has gained yet another additional tendency into its fold in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State.

In a well attended Expanded Executive / Stakeholders Meeting and Declaration Ceremony held on Saturday, January, 20 2026, held in Victoria Island, the Obidients in Eti-Osa affirmed their full membership into the ADC and more Obidients across the country will continue to make their formal declaration into the ADC.

The event was graced by the presence of the Labour Party Lagos State Governorship Candidate, His Excellency, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour; the Coordinator, Supporting Advisory Council, Comrade March Oyinki; the Lagos State Cordinator of the Obidient Movement, Hon. Ife Salako and some members of his executive team. We also have in attendance Comrd. Seyi Akinde; and the ADC Eti-Osa LGA Chairperson, Hon. Elizabeth Ekanem. Others Obidient Movement and Labour Party leaders joined us from various local governments.

At the declaration ceremony, all stakeholders and Executives of the Obidient Movement across the 10 wards of the LGA were duly registered and issued the ADC membership cards. This process will be extended to all members of the LP/Obidient Movement across all wards within the LGA. Special appreciation goes to His Excellency, GRV for making available the ADC cards to members of the Movement in the LGA.

In a gesture that was well appreciated, the Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Eti-Osa, Hon. Prosper Uka, the leadership and members of the LGA also expressed their sincere gratitude to the Obidient Movement Lagos State Collegiate Executive Council for their generous donation of additional cards, which ensured that more ward members received ADC membership cards.

The leadership also expressed their special thanks to all leaders who joined the occasion from various local governments, and as well as to all our sponsors and stakeholders for their commitment to the New Nigeria Project and we are more than ever before convincedi that a New Nigeria is possible.
