The Minister Of Youth and Sports, Mr. Sunday Dare, has approved the exclusion of certain Para-Sports from the forthcoming National Sports Festival.
Dare gave the approval on Wednesday during a virtual Meeting attended by major stakeholders in the sports fraternity, including members of the National Sports Council.
Meanwhile, he confirmed that the Festival would hold as planned in Asaba, Delta, from Nov. 28 to Dec.10.
He disclosed that events like Netball, Teqball and Mixed Martial Arts would feature as demonstration sports while the inclusion of Cricket had been approved as scoring event.
Meanwhile the Minister has approved Nov. 3–5 for the Inspection of facilities and Joint Technical Meeting for the 21st National Sports Festival.(NAN)
