Immediate past Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, General Barry Tariye Ndiomu has expressed a deep sense of loss over the passing of foremost Ijaw and Niger Delta leader, Pa Edwin Clark.

General Ndiomu in a condolence message issued in Abuja today said at 97, Pa Clark lived a remarkable life leaving behind a legacy of patriotic activism which was cherished by all Nigerians who desired fairness, equity and equality.

General Ndiomu noted that while Pa Clark displayed wisdom, courage and consistency in the agitation for resource control and true federalism, he would always be remembered as a true elder statesman and a voice for all marginalized Nigerians.

“He lived a fulfilled life and as a nonagenarian, a national icon and patriarch with legacies worthy of emulation, what more could we have asked for but to celebrate him” General Ndiomu reiterated.

“To his immediate family, I commiserate with you and please accept my heartfelt condolences and may you find comfort in the memories you shared together as a family” General Ndiomu added.
