The Nigeria Liquified and Natural Gas, NLNG, has unveiled its new General Manager, External Relations and Sustainable Development, Sophia Horsfall.

She was unveiled at a press conference in Lagos on Tuesday.
Sophia who will be taking over from Andy Odey who will be retiring  after over 2 decades in service.

The press conference was also a time for the company to tell the story of the rebranding of its logo which is says represents where it is coming from.

According to Odey, with the new logo, the company wants to be seen as more of an energy company rather than an NLNG, while it is going through transformations and looking at other options it has as a business and sustainability in the market.

Odey who will be retiring to a life of writing and mentorship said he believes that with the new Spokesperson on board the media is in good hands, and she can fit well into his shoes.

“As I step into this role I ask for your support and cooperation and look forward to deepening the relationship and partnership”, she said.

“Andy, thank you for your unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions in amplifying our voice and vision,” she said.

Discussing NLNG’s rebranding initiative, Horsfall emphasised that the transformation extends beyond a new look.

“It embodies a commitment to a future powered by clean, accessible, and reliable energy.

“This is our purpose, and it resonates with the vision you have shared with the public in your reporting, shaping the perception and trust the world has in us,” she noted.

“Today, as we proudly embrace our new identity under the banner ‘Inspiring a Sustainable Future’, we recognise the vital role each of you has played in telling our story over the past 25 years.

“From our earliest milestones to this transformative moment, your support and insights have been instrumental to our journey,” she said.

“Together, we have the power to elevate NLNG’s influence and aspirations to new heights.
