Delta community, Ubulu-Uku, union elects new officers

On September 7, 2024, the Ubulu-Uku Kingdom Descendants Central Union, the umbrella community development association for the community in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, elected a new executive council to run the association for the next four years.
The exercise was conducted during the national delegates conference attended by branches all over the country.
They were sworn in by Dr. Jonathan Monye, a lawyer and immediate past president general of the association.
The elected officers are as follows: Mr. Peter Ugbaja (President General); Pastor Dan Malachi Utomi (Vice President I); Comrade Pius Osemene (Vice President II); Dr. Chiedu Osaji (Secretary General) and Mr. Henry Omefe (Assistant Secretary General). Others are Mr. Henry Okwudishu (Treasurer); Hon. Fervency Ozulu Nwaka (Financial Secretary); Mr. Pius Mordi (National Publicity Secretary); Mr. Chuks Udeh (Chief Provost); Ms. Joy Egwuenu (Provost) I, and Mr. Kenneth Nwaosi (Provost II).
In his address after the swearing-in, the president general, Mr. Peter Ugbah, pledged to uphold the ancient throne of Ubulu-Uku kingdom with His Royal Majesty, Obi Chukwuka Noah Akaeze, as king as custodian of its customs and traditions.
