After DSS threat, Abuja Filling Stations Commence 24hrs operation

A day after the Department of State Services (DSS) issued a 48hrs ultimatum to all stakeholders in the oil industry to resolve the ongoing fuel scarcity across the country, 23 filling stations in Abuja have commenced  24hrs operations.

PRNigeria had reported yesterday that the DSS Spokesman, Peter Afunanya announced the directive while briefing journalists at the headquarters of service in Abuja after a closed-door meeting with stakeholders in the petroleum sector.

He said failure to comply, the DSS will activate its operations across the country.

According to Afunanya, the challenge of fuel scarcity has assumed a dimension that is detrimental to the security of the country.

He said during the meeting, the NNPC agreed that there is enough product that will serve Nigerians during and after the Yuletide season.

Meanwhile, PRNigeria gathered that 23 filling stations will commence 24 hours service from today.

Some of the fuel stations are the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited Mega station Zone one, NNPC airport road, Lugbe, AA Rano, Jabi, AA Rano Utako, AA Rano Katampe, AYM Shafa, Wuse, AYM ushafa, Shema Katampe, Shema among others.

Here are the full list of the petrol stations that will operate 24 hours.

1. NNPC MEGA: ZONE 1;
2. NNPC MEGA: AIRPORT ROAD, LUGBE;
3. NNPC MEGA: JAHI;
4. NNPC: WUSE ZONE 4;
5. AA RANO: JABI UTAKO;
6. AA RANO: GARKI;
7. AA RANO: KATAMPE;
8. AA RANO: CITY GATE;
9. AA RANO: MPAPE
10. AA RANO: NYANYA INTL MKT;
11. AA RANO: NYANYA;
12. DANMARNA: LUGBE;
13. DANMARNA: WUYE;
14. AYM SHAFA: WUYE;
15. AYM SHAFA: GARKI;
16. AYM SHAFA: LUGBE;
17. AYM SHAFA: GUDU;
18. ARDOVA PLC: MAITAMA;
19. AP ARDOVA PLC: APO LEGISLATIVE QTRS;
20. SHEMA: AIRPORT ROAD;
21. SHEMA: KATAMPE;
22. SALBAS: AIRPORT ROAD MEGA STATION;
23. SALBAS: KUBWA MEGA STATION
