The Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor, Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Sir Felix Ideh has commended Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for massive infrastructural development in Okpanam.

Sir Ideh , who made the commendation while speaking with newsmen on the sidelines of the 10th anniversary of the coronation of HRM. Dr. Michael Mbanefo Ogbolu as the Ugoani of Okpanam kingdom, called on the people of the community to continue to support the administration of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.

While also expressing gratitude to the Governor for appointing Chief Patrick Ukah , an indigene of the community as the Secretary to the State Government, Sir Ideh stated that within the 10th anniversary of the coronation of Ugoani, Okpanam community had witnessed transformation and coexistence.

Sir Ideh said that the 10th anniversary coronation was a celebration of the rulership that was universally enthroned by the people of the community, adding that the Ugoani in Council and the Council of Chiefs had championed the direction for the socioeconomic development of the community.

Also speaking, the Councilor representing Okpanam ward 13 in Oshimili North Local Government Council, Hon. Barry Ezuche Okonkwo said that Okpanam had witnessed unprecedented growth and development under the reign of Ugoani.

Hon. Okonkwo , who congratulated the Ugoani on his 10th anniversary coronation, described the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Patrick Ukah as very supportive to the Ugoani in Council, especially for admonishing the people of the community to continue to accord respect to the stool .

He urged the people of the community to always identify with PDP , noting that all the Infrastructural development in Okpanam came from the PDP led administration.

In their separate remarks, the Asiwaju of Yorubas in Okpanam, Chief (Dr.) Teslim Abojede and Engr. Charles Akinrefon , both Yorubas residing in the community, said that the leadership of HRM Dr. Michael Mbanefo Ogbolu had ushered in development and unity to the community.

Chief (Dr.) Abojede and Engr. Akinrefon admonished the Yorubas in the community to contribute meaningfully to the upliftment of Okpanam community, adding that the Yorubas had always been carried along in the scheme of things in the community.

Earlier, the Okilolo 1 of Okpanam kingdom, Mrs. Awele Mordi Onyemeziem and the Delta North Women Leader of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mrs. Antonia Chukwuedo , who is the Welfare Director of Hon. Ned Nwoko Campaign Organisation described the Ugoani as an amiable royal father with the interests of his subjects at heart.

Mrs. Awele Mordi Onyemeziem specifically noted that God had used the royal father to transform the community even as she described him a man of integrity.

She advised youth in the community to shun crimes at all times and embrace skill acquisition, stressing that Okpanam was relatively a crime free community as a result of the efforts of Okpanam Vigilante and anti cult groups.
