With the way Anyim had handled other positions in the past, the way he had managed challenging situations in the past, if given the opportunity to be the president of Nigeria, he will perform Wonders. This was the submission of Sen.Ahmed Markafi, former governor of Kaduna state at the interactive session Anyim had with the Kaduna State delegates, to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP presidential convention, May 9, in Kaduna. Markafi re-echoed the roles Anyim played in stabilizing the Nigeria Senate and at the same time highlighted what he described as Anyim’s excellent performances as Secretary to government of the federation, SGF, insisting that Anyim remains the best candidate for PDP in 2023 presidential race.

Anyim had earlier told the delegates that while in government underGoodluckJonathanAdministration, they had a programme with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to revive farming and textile industries by giving the actors the facilities to revive the sectors.

It was in process before we left the Government, Anyim said, but unfortunately, it has not been sustained. Assuring the people he promised, “I will continue from where we stopped if hopefully, I am given the mandate by Nigerians to return in bigger capacity as president in 2023”.

According to him, Nigeria needs a consensus leader like myself to address the peoples plights and enhance socio-economy, infrastructural and security challenges in the country.

“I have passion for a united and peaceful Nigeria. I have never exceeded two weeks out of Nigeria when I was in Government and I ensured sanity in the Senate which led to so many achievements we recorded while in government” Anyim told the delegates.

He pledged to revive the moribund industries in Kaduna, saying that such developments would create jobs and tackle youths restiveness and insecurity in the state and Nigeria in general.
Makarfi, further reminded the delegates that with Anyim’s experience in the past administrations in Nigeria, he would undoubtedly perform wonders if given the mantle of Nigerian’s leadership in 2023.
