…takes oath of office
Sen. Godswill Akpabio has emerged as President of the 10th senate.
He was immediately sworn in.
Recall that the former Zamfara governor Abdul’aziz Yari had before now protested the endorsement of the the former minister by the party and asked that the endorsement be reviewed but was ignored.
Jubrin Barau has also emerged Deputy senate President.
He was nominated unopposed by Senator Dave Umahi to clinch the position.
