The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo has congratulated Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on his 100 days in office as the Governor of Kogi State.
Hon. Fanwo gave this congratulatory message while addressing pressmen in Lokoja, Kogi State.
The Commissioner described Governor Ododo as a great achiever who hit the ground running on 27th January, 2024 after his landslide victory in the November 11th Gubernatorial Elections, stressing that Alhaji Ahmed Ododo who had worked tirelessly and selflessly under the immediate past administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello as the Auditor General for Local Governments knows the right steps to consolidate and continue the good legacies of GYB.
In his words, “Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is a man who worked closely with Alhaji Yahaya Bello who brought gigantic development to the state. As a man who has the good people of Kogi State at heart and who is to consolidate and continue the GYB legacy projects, he hit the ground running on the 27th January, 2024 and ever since has been actively touching the thematic areas like, security, education, agriculture, health, Infrastructural development, human capital development, welfarism of the civil servants and citizenty.
It is no longer news that the dualization and rehabilitation of several roads within Lokoja metropolis that kicked off under the immediate past administration have continued under Governor Ododo who has hastened and fast- tracked the work to reach completion in no distant time. Security of lives and properties of the citizenry is another top priority for his Excellency, as different security agencies have been met with and important needs to tighten the security are being met. Recently, His Excellency unveiled new operational vehicles for the Kogi State Vigilante Service to enhance their operational efficiency. This effort is to further add to the existing security apparatus on ground.
His Excellency has as well distributed food stuff to the citizens in order to cushion the effects of the subsidy removal. This distributions were done in such a way that they reached the Grassroots. The state and Local Government Staff, including the pensioners, have been enjoying good salaries and other benefits under his administration.”
Hon. Fanwo also praised His Excellency for drastic steps taken in order to see the State Broadcasting Corporation operate for at least 20 hours per day as he made directives that ensured that standard solar power and 33 KVA transformer were installed for effectiveness and efficiency.
He reiterated that His Excellency has been able to achieve all these and so many that could not be itemized here just within 100 days in office appealing to the citizens to shun the politics of bigotry and throw their support behind Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for rapid and robust development of Kogi State.
