Yudala to reward 100,000 customers, unleashes Zero Gravity musical show
Yudala, largest online and offline retail chain in Sub-Saharan Africa is set to reward over 100,000 of its customers across the country as part of activities to mark its one year anniversary through the launch of Yudala Zero Gravity musical concert, while also looking to employing more people in its stores.
Speaking at a press briefing at the company’s head office in Lagos, the President/CEO, Yudala, Mr. Dave Ibelegbu, told journalists that the company is looking to adding more offline stores to its number of stores in a couple of weeks where it will employ more people.
“As at today when a lot of companies are retrenching we are employing more people. What that means is that we want to empower Nigerians. The revolution we have started last year is what we are continuing and that is what has given rise to the Zero Gravity musical concert.”
The company which opened shop last year according to the Founder and Vice President, Yudala, Nnamdi Ekeh has witnessed exponential growth, even as it was the first to introduce same day delivery in the Nigerian e-commerce space with the first ever recorded drone delivery in Africa. “All we have achieved in the last one year would not have been possible without the help of the press and our customers/clients, which is why we decided to launch the Zero Gravity; six shows spread across Lagos, Enugu and Abuja as a way to appreciate our customers. We will continue to cause disruption in the market”.
The company it would be recalled introduced the YUBOSS as part of its marketing strategies to help small businesses grow and ‘Gyming with the stars’ as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility to promote the spirit of wellbeing.
Continuing in this feat and many firsts, the company’s marketing and communication manager, Afam Anyika added that the annual event which will begin from October 2nd through to November 20th is to reward customers and non-customers of Yudala.
According to him, “from next year selection of states for the concert will be on the bases of how much each state has contributed in terms of purchase of products from Yudala offline or online retail stores. In every city we are going to have two shows that will consist of contemporary Nigerian music and the gospel concert; these will happen side by side”.
The event which will bring together top performing world class musicians, he added, is a way of giving back to the customers who have been loyal to the company. The inaugural multi-city concert he said will engage and entertain the customers as well as a platform for upcoming acts in the music industry.
“Customers can attend the event as either a VIP, VVIP etc. depending on your purchasing power and if you’re able to meet the minimum or maximum threshold. As part of the event highlight, we of course also want to showcase our customers. So who ever tops will be driven to the event in a Yudala Rolls Royce and we also have a car that will be won”.
The event will be sponsored by OEMs, Banks, Telcos amongst other companies.
