Turaki berths in Kwara, says APC has abused rule of law
The support base for PDP Presidential Aspirant, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, has continued to widen across the nation with more groups and political movements pledging the allegiance to the man often described as clean and scholarly.
In line with his ongoing nationwide tour, Turaki met with Kwara State governor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed. It was part of his consultations to party members across the country ahead of the PDP presidential primary.
Turaki who is known to have a close relationship with the Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki who is also in the race, urged Kwarans to ensure that either him or his brother, Bukola get elected as Nigeria’s President.
Turaki said: “Both of us are well educated and accomplished professionals with vast knowledge. We have a lot of integrity, credibility, character and dynamism. If we look at our pedigree, we are impeccable. Both of us have conviction, fire of patriotism and nationalism and above anything else, we both have the fear of God.”
He urged Nigerians to vote out APC next year because the “ruling party has desecrated the sacred creed of rule of law which is the pillar of democracy”.
Turaki is almost rounding off his tour of all the 36 states with a campaign openly commended by his party members as decent and without rancour. He is adjudged to have maintained high decorum both in deeds and in words in a political environment where politicians were fond of deploying vile words to put down their competitors.
