Tambuwal appoints special adviser on Poultry, 4 others

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, on Monday announced the appointment of five new special advisers and deployment of some Permanent Secretaries.
A statement issued in Sokoto by Tambuwal’s Media Assistant, Malam Imam Imam, said the advisers had been sworn-in.
He gave the names of the special advisers as Umar Bature, Cooperation and Integration; Ibrahim Al-Mustapha, Infrastructure; Akibu Dalhatu, Public Enlightenment and Mobilisation; Dr Rabi’u Alkali, Poultry Development, and Aminu Shagari, Disability Matters.
Tambuwal admonished the new appointees to dedicate themselves to the service of the people.
“You are all seasoned politicians with large appeal at the grassroots level. We are now tapping from your wealth of experience to enable us render quality service to the people of Sokoto state.
“Always bear in mind that the positions you are holding is that of trust given to us by the citizens, you must strive to keep that trust with hard work, diligence, and fear of Allah,” he added.
Meanwhile, the governor has also approved the redeployment of some permanent secretaries and posting of new ones in the state civil service.
Those affected are, Abdullahi Bala Sokoto, Ministry of Health to Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education; Abubakar Muhammed, Science and Technology and Muhammed Idris, Ministry for Energy Resources.
Also, Al-Mustapha Ali has moved from Government House to Ministry of Health, Umar Wali takes charge of Ministry for Rural Development; Hassan Maccido, Admin and General Services to Career and Special Services.
Similarly, Dadi Adare takes cahrge of Ministry of Animal Health and Fisheries Development; Haruna Ahmad-Tambuwal, Local Government Service Commission, and Muhammad Sani-Audu, Home affairs.
The statement said all the appointments are with immediate effect.
