Part of T.B Joshua’s popular worship centre Synagogue Church of All Nations, located in Ikotun, a suburb of Lagos has collapsed killing many, while others are still trapped in the rubble. Witnesses said the building is a guest house of the church.

The guest house sitting behind the church is usually reserved for foreigners who troop to the synagogue. Some of the foreigners were trapped in the rubble as at press time.

It was revealed that the church had embarked on an expansion drive over the last few months, which allegedly led to the collapse. According to a witness scores of persons are reported dead and many others are still trapped.

Eyewitnesses disclosed that there are more than 70 casualties and over 10 ambulance vehicles have trooped the church premises, trying to remove dead bodies and rush injured persons to the hospital.

This has caused pandemonium around the church. The police have tightened perimeter around the church. Gunshots are being sprayed at intervals to scare people standing in the middle of the road watching from afar.
