Rivers Deputy Gov, Tele Ikuru, Dumps APC for PDP, Says Gang up Against Jonathan is Treachery
Rivers Deputy Gov. Tele Ikuru, on Sunday announced his defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This is contained in a statement he issued in Port Harcourt titled ‘’ A call on the conscience of the people of Rivers State.’’
The deputy governor said he left the All Progressives Congress because it was founded on deception and thrived in unholy propaganda and false hood.
According to Ikuru, ever since he joined the APC in December 2013, he has continued to `twist and turn in mental’ emotional agony.
‘` The more I struggle to belong, the more the Rivers man in me rejects the APC,’’ he said.
The deputy governor said that the ancestors of the state and unborn generations would not forgive his generation for not supporting the first president of the country to come from the Niger Delta Region.
‘` I wash my hands off this treachery’’ he said.
He urged Rivers people to massively vote for President Goodluck Jonathan and Chief Nyesom Wike, PDP governorship candidate in Rivers.
