The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye Friday night said that God was yet to tell him whether the 2023 general elections will hold.

The prophetic pastor known for his non-verbosity and exceptional humility expressed surprise that barely four months to the elections, God has not given him any hint on whether the elections will hold or not.

“God has not told me yet if there will be election next year as of this moment, November 4, 2022,” he said, adding, “I am not trying to frighten you but we need to pray.”

Speaking during the November 2022 Holy Ghost Service at the RCCG Camp ground, streamed live on TV and social media platforms, the widely travelled pastor known for accurate prophecies and words of knowledge also declared a 7 days fast from November 26 to December 2.

The theme of the November service was ‘Let it Rain’.

The fast, he said, was for RCCG members and it is to praise God, confess sins and ask God for mercy.

Pastor Adeboye bemoaned the hardship in the land, stressing that the growing devaluation in value of the naira is causing untold hardship among the people.

Political Economist NG recalls that Pastor Adeboye has earlier in October, revealed the greatest miracle wrought by God on Nigeria: the miracle that Nigeria is still existing as one country today.

He said this as a preface to his sermon at the October Holy Ghost Service at the church’s headquarters at Kilometre 46 along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, with the theme Shine Forth.

Political Economist reporter recalls that Adeboye  said “the very fact that Nigeria is still one till today is an evidence that God answers prayer.”

Pastor Adeboye who is known globally for his unique style of ministration laced with word of knowledge, prophecies and authoritative declarations, however, said that despite being one country against odds, the nation is beset with diverse challenges. He blames Christians for some of the woes ravaging the country.

“Whatever is going on today in Nigeria is the fault of all Christians”, he said; stressing that God had settled the matter that “if my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, I (God) will heal their land.” – 2Chronicle 7:14.

Adeboye said that Nigeria remains not healed because Christians, whom he referred as the only people on earth who are called by God’s name (followers of Christ) have not prayed enough, adding if “you pray and the situation remains the same, keep praying.”
