Mohbad: Police scatter candlelight procession with teargas
Officers of the Lagos state police command caused a stir on Victoria Island/ Lekki tollgate axis of Lagos when they tear-gassed a candlelight procession in honour of the late Afrobeat star Mohbad.
The peaceful procession which started by 7.20pm on Thursday had attracted big names in the entertainment and was progressing in intensity when security men began to detonate tear gas causing the people to scamper to safety in different direction.
