Mbappe: Break the bank, sign him now, Piers Morgan tells Arteta
Piers Morgan has encouraged Arsenal to “break the bank” to sign Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe this summer.
The French forward is all but certain to leave the club come the end of the campaign, and though Real Madrid appears his most likely destination, the Gunners have also been touted as a potential alternative.
It has been claimed that Mbappe is open to the transfer and would like to follow in the footsteps of legendary Frenchman Thierry Henry, reports Football.London
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta only added further weight to the rumours during his pre-match media press conference ahead of Saturday’s clash with Burnley.
Asked whether the Gunners were in for Mbappe, he replied: “Why not? If we want to be the best team, we are going to need the best talent and the best players. I am not involved. Maybe Edu and the owners are, I’m not in those conversations until the last stage.”
Morgan, famously an Arsenal supporter, has now weighed in on the saga, taking to social media to write: “Right answer. We should break the bank for Kylian Mbappe if there’s even a 1% chance of getting him.”
