Holy Ghost Rally, A Blessing To Rivers – Wike; Thanks Adeboye

The Rivers State Government says it has benefited immensely from the Port Harcourt Holy Ghost Rally over the years.
The State Chief Executive, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike made this assertion at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, on Sunday, 30th January 2022 during the Port Harcourt Holy Ghost Rally, organized by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Rivers Family.
Represented by his Deputy, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo, Governor Wike said, Rivers State was privileged to have the Rally, which started in January 2016, adding that a few days after that rally there was a landmark judgement at the Supreme Court of Nigeria, that upheld the election of Governor Wike and his Administration.
“This is because the Holy Ghost rally is such a blessing to Rivers State and the Government of Rivers State”.The Governor stressed.
According to the Governor, accessing the venue of the rally was difficult in 2016 and he promised to build a road connecting to the east-west road, down to the airport, to make an alternative route, which he has already done.
Governor Wike, who further disclosed that God also proved himself mightily during the 2019 elections, expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for making the Rivers People recipients of His many blessing through the prayers of our General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye (Daddy G O).
He noted that the redeemed family has been doing so much in Rivers State, particularly amongst our youths, our women and our elders, adding that so much social-economic impact has been made through the restoration centres, drug rehabilitation centres and medicals.
Governor Wike, who emphasized that the Redeemed Christian Church of God was partnering with the Government, to make life better for the citizenry, said “now we are hearing of intervention in the area of farming, thank you so much, Daddy, G.O, for being so impactful, thoughtful spiritually and physically, today we have a theme, great prayers, what a timely time for it, the word of God admonishes us to pray without ceasing and with supplications in the spirit”.
In his Sermon, on the theme: “Great Prayers”, drawn from Jeremiah 33: 3 the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye disclosed that the Almighty God had promised to show us great and mighty things when we call on Him in prayer.
He described prayer as an appeal to someone who is greater, stronger and richer than you who because of his or her position, resources, abilities and track record you beseech to help you, stressing that we should look up to the Almighty God, the God of all flesh with whom nothing shall be impossible to help us.
In his welcome address, the International Youth Pastor Of RCCG, Pastor Belemina Obunge said the RCCG was playing an active role not only in the spiritual growth of the masses but in the socio-economic development of the People of Rivers State, stressing that the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye had mandated the various regions, to commence farming projects all over the country, with a view of providing food for the people, as well as employment of numerous youths and multitude through the various supply chains that evolves from farming.
He said a few days ago the General Overseer moved into Apani in Ikwerre Local Government Area to dedicate one of such farms in Nigeria, stressing that RCCG through this project remains committed to lifting the hands of the Government as it continues to meet the needs of its community.
He expressed gratitude to Governor Wike for making it possible for the Church to use the facility for the programme and thanked the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area for his support.
