FALF impacting young Africans through FALA, expends over $1.3m in grants across 30 countries in 11 years

As the spotlight continues to beam on the African continent and the potentials of its teeming youth population, the Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) says it has over the last 11 years awarded grants of $1, 340,000 million to 123 recipients of the prestigious Future Africa Leaders Awards (FALA).
The recipients span 30 African countries across 5 regions of the continent, according to Pastor T.T Temisan, Member Central Executive Council, Loveworld Nation.
Speaking at the FALF Media Conference in Lagos on Thursday, Temisan noted that the recognition was done for their demonstrating outstanding leadership in solving problems in and for the continent of Africa.
“Each of the recipients have received grants over the last 11 years, including 2023, it has given grants of $1, 340,000 million to all the winners, which spans 30 African countries across 5 regions of the continent”.
“The years have been very impactful to the recipients who have played a mini role in providing sustainable solutions in their communities and nations, through health, sanitation, agriculture, entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, technology, advocacy for justice and good governance in Africa.
He added that the Foundation, working with its ambassadors has identified and supported over 77 million young individuals across 54 African nations.
“The Foundation has strategically increased her impact through meaningful engagements with governmental stakeholders who exemplify the voice of change in Africa, such as Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Former President of Nigeria, H.E. Madame Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the First Female President in Africa, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Former President of Nigeria, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao, Physician, activist, and former African Union Ambassador to the United States, Her Excellency, Joyce Banda, former president of Malawi, Dr. Leymah Gbowee, a Nobel Laureate and distinguished peace activist from Liberia and Dr Jemma Nunu Kumba, Speaker National Legislative Assembly Republic of south Sudan.
NOTEWORTHY PROJECTS SINCE INCEPTION INCLUDES:
- The FALF School of Learning Initiative, addressing knowledge gaps resulting from prolonged ASUU strikes in Nigeria. This innovative program provided comprehensive leadership and management training, resulting in the successful graduation of numerous students.
- The establishment of an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) center in Mayo Wandu, Adamawa State, Nigeria, aims to bridge the digital divide in rural communities. This pioneering facility has empowered over 12,079 young people through consistent training in ICT skills, enabling them to become active participants in the digital age.
The High point of the press conference was the unveiling of the 10 grant winners of 2023 FALA.
