A female police officer who was caught by an agent of the APC while collecting some alleged to be bribe from a chieftain of the PDP at unit 28, ward 7 in Ikpoba Okhai local government area. She was quickly arrested by APC sympathisers and handed over to the police.
Voters in the area were taken aback by the action of the cop as some of them wanted to pounce on her but for the intervention of other watchers of the event. She was detained at Ugbekun police station.
Another dent to the election was the handing out of N2000 notes to voters by persons said to APC agents to voters to influence voting.
At Ogbaki Primary school along Mission Road in Etsako LGA, mobile policemen shot into the air sporadically to scare people. This was after some persons alleged to be APC agents brought in thugs ostensibly to destabilize the process but they were resisted by PDP agents. The disagreement resulted in a skirmish.
