DSS releases Buhari’s critic, Gbadamosi; Police let go Akoh, Peace Corps chief
The Department of State Services, DSS, has released one of President Muhammadu Buhari’s most vicious critics, Babatunde Gbadamosi , a chieftain of the PDP who was detained last week after honouring an invitation from the Service.
The PDP Chieftain upon his arrest was immediately taken to Abuja, where he had since been in custody. He was said to have been released Thursday afternoon by the secret police.
Also on Thursday, the Commandant of Peace Corps, Dickson Akoh, was released by the Nigerian Police Force. The Police in conjunction with the Department of State Services, DSS, had on Tuesday arrested Akoh when they invaded the new national headquarters of the Corps. The youth-based organisation whose Bill was passed by the National Assembly, but yet to be assented to by the President has recently come under assault by security agencies.
