Dokpesi, two grandchildren discharged: Says ‘we’re given anti-malaria medication’
High Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi and two of his grandchildren have been discharged from Gwagwalada Medical Centre where he and 8 other members of his family were admitted for Covid-19 illness.
A happy Dokpesi said he was grateful to all Nigerians especially those who were in the frontline in the fight against the pandemic. He said the remaining members of his family would be discharged later today.
Dokpesi who is the founder of DAAR Communications, owners of AIT and Ray Power wondered why all those who were admitted for the Covid-19 illness were placed on anti-malaria medication. He said he would need an explanation on the correlation between covid-19 and malaria since the same drugs cure both.
“I went into the isolation centre not as High Chief Dokpesi but as an ordinary citizen. I wanted to know what the ordinary Nigerians go through. I have realized the enormous jobs our medical personnel do everyday. I have seen the lack of equipment, inadequate equipment, sometimes malfunctioning equipment and it has helped me to appreciate our medical personnel more. I thank all of them.”
