DBI partners Sheiks & Bishop Limited on ICT skills acquisition

The Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) will partner with Sheiks and Bishop Ltd, to provide a cutting edge access to skills development and enhancement of Nigerians in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
The partnership was disclosed when the President/CEO of the DBI Engr. Prof. Mohammed Ajiya paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman/CEO of Sheiks and Bishop Ltd, Sir Chikwe Udensi.
Prof. Ajiya was represented by the Institute Secretary, Ms Tonia Ansa-Otudo, who led the DBI delegation to a meeting held at the office of the Chairman of Sheiks & Bishop.
Receiving the DBI delegation, Sir. Udensi, welcomed them and commended the leadership of the Institute for rendering invaluable service to the nation through capacity building. He noted that capacity building for impactful change is one of the measures to ensure sustainable development of the country.
Speaking further, the Chairman noted that he was amazed to see the huge infrastructure at DBI Enugu Campus, adding that this necessitated their decision to seek partnership and collaboration with the DBI in order to utilise the Campus for the up skilling of human endeavour and knowledge.
In her remarks, the Head of delegation and representative of DBI President, Ms. Tonia Ansa-Otudor gave a brief overview of DBI.
She pointed out that the DBI, as a training Institute established by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is focussed on capacity building and manpower development for both government and private organizations, especially in the evolving areas of ICT, Telecoms and general skills development for self-sustenance.
She stated that through the multi campus access of the DBI in all the geopolitical zones with residential facilities, (Abuja, Lagos, Kano, Asaba, Enugu and Yola), DBI has been able to provide cutting edge access to skills development and enhancement in Nigeria.
She applauded the Chairman for a quality presentation made by one of his staff and their state-of-the-art facilities provided in such environment.
The DBI’s delegation was led by the lnstitute Secretary, Ms.ToniaAnsa-Otudor, accompanied by Head of Research, lnnovation and Consultancy, Mr. Paulinus Ugwoke, Mr. Nwanze Okonkwo, Head of IT; Mrs Tomiwa Fayemi of Outsource Unit and Mr. Akin Ogunlade, the Head of Public Affairs Unit.
