The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has announced the activation of 3 new labs for inclusion in the NCDC Molecular Lab Network

Following the addition of the 3 new labs in Ibadan (Biorepository & Clinical Virology Lab UCH, Ibadan); Akwa Ibom (Molecular Diagnostics Lab, Infectious Disease Unit, General Hospital, Ituk Mkpang); and Jigawa (Jigawa State Molecular Lab, Dutse), this brings the total number of labs with capacity to test for #COVID19 in Nigeria to 33

The NCDC however noted that 4 other labs are in progress in: Kwara, Gombe, Ekiti, Ondo and Abia
