Buhari returns from AU summit, commits to more vigour in anti-graft war
President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja after a successful outing at the 30th session of the African Union Summit held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia with a commitment to more vigour in the fight against corruption.
Nigeria’s anti-corruption rating was high at the summit in which Buhari was decorated as Anti-corruption Champion by his Africa Union colleagues. Buhari attracted ovation during his presentation at the summit in which he described corruption as one of the worst evils of our time. He rallied other African leaders to intensify anti-corruption crusade in their various jurisdictions.
A delegation of cabinet members including his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, was at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to welcome him.
Inside Aso Rock sources told our correspondent that the President after taking a quick briefing from Mr. Kyari, pledged to sustain his fight against corruption.
