Blac Chyna in trouble over N90,000 cream that will make you all white
BLAC Chyna has been slammed on social media for promoting a skin lightening product called Whitenicious, reports UK Daily Sun tabloid.
The mum-of-two was unveiled as the new face of the brand, with a series of promo pictures showing the 30-year-old looking very fair.
To commemorate the venture, company Dencia has brought out the Whitenicious X Blac Chyna Diamond Illuminating & Lightening Cream.
The 100g bottle is covered in Swarovski crystals, but will set you back £195 ($250), about N90,000.
Announcing the partnership on their website, the brand said: “Just like Blac Chyna, the brand is both sensual and feminine, with a complexion-focused product developed to work together and provide everyone with Blac Chyna’s real-life method for killer radiance.
“Blac Chyna believes that being photo-ready even without makeup means being dark spot free, hyperpigmentation free and younger looking.”
And they quoted Blac Chyna, real name Angela White, saying: “Skincare is very important to me as an entertainer and business woman.
“I’ve been in the beauty industry for several years and having flawless facial skin underneath my makeup is the ultimate goal at all times.
“I’ve used other products under Whitenicious for the last few years, so this collaboration with the brand is to support, assist and guide other women around the world with introducing easy-to-use friendly products for their daily facial care regiments.”
People have slammed Blac Chyna for promoting the product
The cream claims to give a “brightening glow”, restores “younger-looking contours” and “brightens, lightens without bleaching skin out.”
And it seems the model and former stripper will be promoting the product herself in Nigeria’s capital, Lagos.
But the mum to Dream Kardashian has come under fire for her association with whitening cream, with people calling it “wrong”.
One person wrote on Twitter: “How you call yourself Blac Chyna selling an item that’s gonna make you White Chyna bruh.”
Another person said: “Black Chyna is coming to make Nigeria white.”
A third person said: “NIGERIAN WOMEN, Listen to me!!!!!
“You don’t NEED to lighten your skin. You are fine just the way!!!!”
This person said: “Congrats #Whitenicious for giving people of color 1 more reason NOT to feel beautiful and appreciate the skin they’re in and adding insult to injury by robbing them blind!”
