Adamu Garba replies lawyer who filed court processes challenging his lawsuit against Twitter

A former Senator and businessman, Adamu Garba has responded to a Nigerian Civil Rights  lawyer, Tope Akinyode who has filed court processes challenging his lawsuit against Twitter owner, Jack Dorsey.

In a series of tweets on Wednesday Garba wrote: “When a tweet from @TopeAkinyode came up, I worry at how much Nigerians take their country”.

“To defend @Jack, who violated your sovereignty by calling for a donation to sustain a protest that lead to damages to our country, after the President acceded to Protesters request. Sad!

“I really do hope he pays you in dollars that he takes away from this country without corresponding investments, except to encourage mayhem and disorder”.

“He will have to pay $1Bn to Nigeria and settle all the victims that have been affected by his intransigent orchestration”, he said.

Earlier the Civil Rights lawyer had said, “Jack’s support for Nigeria’s cause is commendable. We’ll protect our freedom of expression and resist the move to ban Twitter in Nigeria”.

Mr. Adamu who currently is pushing for the use of a Twitter like app, Crowwe created by his company, IPI group limited to be used in Nigeria, had in the wake of the #ENDSARS protests accused Twitter CEO of “meddling into our local affairs” after he called on Nigerians to donate to a bitcoin fund towards the #EndSARS protest.

“You have violated the international principles of nationhood and democracy, by meddling into our local affairs, knowing fully well that this is capable of toppling the democratically elected government of the day, slowing us down from progress on our hard earned democracy journey”.

Meanwhile angry Twitter users have continued to give the Crowwe app bad reviews on the app store.
