Gunmen Abduct Students in Lagos School, Whereabouts Still Unknown
Some suspected armed gunmen were said to have stormed the Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, on Monday night and took away no fewer than three students from their hostels.
The gunmen, according to sources, stormed the school at about 8pm and took three female students along with them.
The school, located at Agunfoye-Lugbusi village, is owned by the Anglican Communion, Lagos Diocese.
The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Dolapo Badmus, who confirmed the development, said detectives have swung into action to secure the release of the girls.
The state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, was said to have spent the better part of the night in the school and surrounding bushes and villages in search of the girls.
