COVID-19: Access Bank announces partial closure of Ligali branch after visitor tested positive
Access Bank has closed temporarily its branch in Ligali Ayorinde, Victoria Island, Lagos after one of its visitors tested positive to COVID-19 to enable thorough disinfection.
The bank revealed in a statement on Monday that the individual whose identity was not disclosed, visited the bank on the 16th of March and has tested positive.
It noted that the patient was asymptomatic when he visited the bank, but said that he’s being treated at the Isolation Centre in Yaba, Lagos State, Nigeria.
The statement further reads:
In line with our emergency response plan and following regulatory practices, the branch has been temporarily closed for thorough disinfection.
Persons who had any contact with the concerned individual are currently in isolation.
“It is advised that anyone who visited the branch in the last week should self-quarantine for a period of 14 days immediately”, the bank said.
