Aubameyang is African Footballer of the Year, Buhari Wins CAF Platinum Award
Gabonese Captain and Bourussia Dortmund striker, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang was Thursday night crowned the 2015 Glo/CAF African Footballer of The Year, beating Manchester City’s Yaya Toure and Swansea City’s and Ghana’s Andre Ayew to second and third places respectively. The colourful ceremony was graced by the crème de la crème of African football.
Speaking in French, the emotional Pierre thanked his parents, the President of Gabon and all those who had encouraged him throughout his football career.

The colourful evening saw many wonderful performances and collaborations. Ahmed Soultan & D’ija Bez & KSA, Selif Keita & Omawunmi, Awilo and Flavour, Kach and Dbanj. The event which Juliet Ibrahim & Robert Marawa was rounded with a sparkling performance of the Glo Anthem by Flavour, Omawunmi & Bez.
