As part of its renewed determination to extend the frontiers of

quality education to all Nigerians, particularly Deltans, the Michael

and Cecilia Ibru University has disclosed that it will on Saturday

19th September, 2015, make a formal presentation of the Michael and

Cecilia Ibru University to the Delta State Government.

The University in a statement made available by the school Public

Relations Officer, Mr. Festus Anyasi, disclosed that the presentation

will take place at the Multi Purpose Hall, Power of Faith Building,

the Michael and Cecilia Ibru University, Ibru Village, Agbarha-Otor,

Delat State, by 11 am. The statement added that the objective of the

University is to among other things, complement the efforts of the

government on Delta State in generating employment opportunity for all

Nigerians; producing high-skilled level manpower who are globally

competitive; and creating a stimulating and challenging academic

environment that will have the requisite facilities for the pursuit of

effective teaching, learning, research and the acquisition of a

liberal education as are appropriate for a University of the highest

standing as well as make those facilities available on proper terms to

such persons as are equipped to benefit from the use of the

facilities.

The Michael and Cecilia Ibru University will be a passion to reduce

poverty by raising well rounded graduates who will be builders of any

society in which they find themselves. The focus will continue to be

on all round development of the individual member of the University

community without the discrimination on the basics of gender,

ethnicity or religion.

The unveiling of the University will be done by His Excellency,

Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa himself and dignitaries from all

walks of life are expected to grace the occasion.
