Recruitment into FRSC begins nationwide; Oyeyemi promises transparency
The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, has assured all candidates who applied for recruitment into the commission of transparent exercise.
Oyeyemi, who was represented by Assistant Corps Marshal Shehu Zaki, said this on Monday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the recruitment centre at the 6th Battalion, Ibagwa Barracks in Abak.
He said that the recruitment team in the state and across the country were made of officials from the commission and the Federal Character Commission.
“The whole exercise will be transparent; we have other agencies in the recruitment centres, like the Federal Character Commission officials. Only the best candidates will be recruited.
“The recruitment exercise has commenced across the centres in the federation. Today, we have started with officers with degree certificates, by tomorrow, they will go to the next stage which is running to keep fit.
“From Wednesday, other categories of candidates will take their turn. We are starting with physical screening of candidates and certificates,’’ he said.
He said that all candidates that applied would need to pass through a thorough process of screening before being recruited.
The Corps Marshal told NAN that those who were yet to receive invitation emails had been directed to attend the recruitment exercise with evidence that they had applied.
He said that the recruitment exercise in Akwa Ibom was moved to Ibagwa Barracks to ensure enough space and for adequate security.
NAN reports that the FRSC recruitment exercise was ongoing across the 36 states of the federation including FCT and would last until Sept. 29.
