New GMD of NNPC Fires GEDs, Appoints Replacements, Shrinks Number of Directorates
The new GMD of NNPC Dr. Ibe Kachikwu has sacked eight Group Executive Directors (GED) of the Corporation barely 24 hours after assuming office. This new development Daylight.ng gathered exclusively is already causing tension and panic among the top echelon of the government institution.
The GEDs of the corporation have been replaced with new GEDs.
The GEDs who were relieved of their duties are: Mr. Ian Udoh, Group Executive Director, Refining & Petrochemicals, Mr. Adebayo Ibirogba, Group Executive Director, Engineering and Technical; Dr David Ige, Group Executive Director, Gas & Power and Dr. Attahir Yusuf, Group Executive Director, Business Development.
Others are: Dr.Dan Efebo, Group Executive Director, Corporate Services; Mr. Bernard Otti, Group, Executive Director, Finance & Accounts.
The number of directorates has also been cut down from eight to four. The new Directorates and their Group Executive Directors, are as follows:
Refining and Engineering – Dr. M.K Baru
Exploration and Production – Denis Nnamdi
Commercial and Investment -Bankole Komolafe
Finance- Isiaka AbdulRazak
All four appointees were formerly Group General Managers of the corporation,the decision to promote them was hinged on their experience with the corporation.
