Again, Buhari cancels FEC meeting, blames Sallah holiday
This week’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting will not hold due to inadequate time to prepare the documents for the meeting, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has announced.
In a terse statement issued in Kano on Tuesday, the Minister said the two-day public holidays declared for the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations left little or no time for the ministers and all involved parties to prepare for the weekly meeting.
Since his return from a 103-day medical vacation, the President has not fully settled down to the business of governance. An excuse that rodents devastated his office while he was away, though pooh-poohed by Nigerians, has necessitated his working from home.
The President as at the time of filing this story was still in his country home of Daura, Katsina State, where he had gone to spend the Sallah holiday.
