Live a Life of Impact: Commending Leo Stan Ekeh, by Emetuche

In all you do, the difference is God. Any successful person who doesn’t believe in God is not successful.

Legendary Maya Angelou said, “ Your legacy is every life you’ve touched.”  This thought can’t be truer.

Real essence of life is to give to God and humanity – your talent, time and treasure.

Friday, 27th September, was a remarkable day at Imo State University, Owerri – where the first set of 200 participants graduated from Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation Center, Imo State University, Owerri.

The center that is fully equipped with ultra-modern ICT facilities is the  initiative of Dr Leo Stan Ekeh, Chairman Zinox Group; a conglomerate comprising Konga, the Africa ecommerce giant

Recall that the onboarding process of participants for the center which is for finishing school, entrepreneurship, and Ai, started two years ago, and the first set of participants were admitted in the month of June 2024 – for intensive three months program. The Faculty of the center are seasoned professionals and Industry experts.

Dr Leo Stan Ekeh who was visibly happy graced the occasion with his amiable wife Mrs Chioma Ekeh.

The visitor of the University,  Senator Hope Uzodimma, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Dr Chinyere Ihuoma Ekomaru,  commended the sponsor of the center, Dr Ekeh, and promised that his administration will continue to work with him to promote the development of human capital in the State. The Tech Guru and serial entrepreneur, Dr Ekeh, thanked the Governor,  the VC of Imo State University, Prof Ugonna Chukwumaeze (SAN), and the Senate of the University for providing the environment that enabled the initiative.

The delighted VC who described himself as the happiest VC, thanked Dr Ekeh for his support to the University, and for donating one hundred computers to the University which helped the institution during accreditation. He also thanked the Chairman of Zinox Group for paying school fees for indigent students of the University.

I am fully involved  at the center as the Representative of Dr Ekeh in the project. I am also a member of the Faculty. As a professional from Owerri North LGA, Imo State, I must state that  I am happy for this show of love to our people of Imo State by Dr Ekeh. Let me note here that he supported the 200 participants with the sum of N20,000 each for their weekly transport fare. He gave each of them Zpad tablet that is valued at over N100,000 each – to aid learning and interaction in today’s tech driven world. Dr Ekeh also announced a seed money of N50million to participants who made several business proposals. Participants will access the money for viable businesses of their choices. He promised to increase his support for the University. Impact!

Guests and participants were happy! Happiness is infectious! Participants went home fulfilled, ready and prepared to meet the world. Impact!

The real essence of life is the lives we touched.

Recall that Dr Ekeh is also sponsoring a similar initiative at St Augustine University, Epe, Lagos State, which was unveiled on 4th April, 2024. True legacy is the lives we touched.

How are we supporting and contributing to the growth and development of the society? Pause a while as you attempt to answer the question. Let’s start from where we are and do what we can. The world will be a better place if we give more to humanity.

Congratulations to all the participants.

Congratulations to Imo State University.

Thanks to Dr Leo Stan Ekeh and his supportive wife, Mrs Chioma Ekeh. You have done noble. May God continue to bless you. The hand that gives is always on top.

Move from good to better, then to best.
