How God averted another civil war in Nigeria – Pastor Adeboye
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Friday night said that Nigeria would have been on the brink of another civil but for the mercy of God.
While speaking at the June Holy Ghost Service from the RCCG camp and streamed on live TV and social media platforms, the highly respected pastor said God averted a civil war in Nigeria because the church prayed.
He recalled that it was in a bid to seek God’s intervention that he called for a solemn assembly last year with fasting and prayer, stressing that going by what God showed him in a revelation, mercy of God prevailed to save Nigeria from another war.
“The fact that Nigeria is not at the brink of a civil war today is evidence that God answered our prayers,” he said during his sermon themed God of Wonders.
Recall that at the Cross Over Night service on December 31, 2022 at the Camp themed; The Great Cross Over, Adeboye described year 2023 as the year of double portion for some persons, which he broke down to double portion of hard work, prayers and success.
He however released a prophecy on those causing trouble in Nigeria, saying that many trouble makers will lose their ability to make trouble in 2023.
Pastor Adeboye who prophesied accurately about Covid-19 and its aftermath in 2020 also said that a few balloons would be deflated this year; meaning that some persons with bloated ego about themselves would be humbled.
For some people, he said, your biggest challenge of 2022 will lead to your biggest testimony in 2023.
Part of the prophecies include that there will be a bit of transfer of wealth this year, he had said.
