The Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board, Mrs. Adebukola Agbaminoja stated this at the 2023 Summit of the Legends of Nollywood held recently in Lagos with the theme: “Empowering the Nigeria Film Industry – Actualising Your Resources”.
Mrs. Agbaminoja noted that the collaboration among the stakeholders in the Film Industry will help it to achieve more by focusing on local content to expose Nigerian culture to the World.
She maintained that producing films using local content for the younger generation will grow our local value system.
According to her, Nollywood has now grown to become the largest movie market in Africa in terms of the number of movies produced per year, revenue, popularity and job creation opportunities.
