All is calm as Emefiele returns to Nigeria
Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, has returned to the country Wednesday and is expected to resume duties any moment from now.
Mr Emefiele has been out of the country for several weeks amidst fears he would be arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, who are investigating several allegations against him, including corruption and terrorism financing.
Emefiele in the heat of his persecution and attempted arrest by security agents got the nod of President Muhammadu Buhari to proceed on a short vacation.
He was also being accused of being part of the alleged looters of the accruals from Stamp Duty charges by banks.
CBN is yet to make an official statement of his return.
