ANA 41st International Convention Starts Wednesday in Abuja, Writers’ Village Wears New Look
The city of Abuja from Wednesday, will witness a convergence of writers from all over the country for the 2022 International Convention of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA).
ANA Delegates are expected to flood the streets of Abuja this week as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is in cheerful mood, as the city prepares to host what has been termed the largest literary gathering of writers. The Mamman Vatsa Writers Village in Abuja, already, is wearing a new face.
A programme of events released by the Convention Planning Committee of the Association indicated that the convention starts on Wednesday, 26th October, 2022.
The theme of this year international convention is Literature and National Consciousness: The Story As a Catalyst.
The Keynote Speaker is Professor Abdul Rasheed Na’Allah, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja.
The programme line-up include: Two guest lecturers on the topic “Nigeria: A nation in a state of Critical Ferment”; commissioning of the first phase of ANA Hotels / apartments; commissioning of the state of the art library at Femi Osofisan Secretariat; various panels and roundtable discussions; convention play; a guided tour of Abuja and many more.
