Breaking: Ibrahim Gusau elected new NFF President
Ibrahim Musa Gusau has been elected the new president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). He replaces Amaju Pinnick.
Gusau beat other contestants at the federation’s committee election held in Benin on Friday after the NFF appealed an earlier court order stopping the election. The Zamfara-born aspirant was roundly endorsed by his kinsmen ahead of the election.
Gusau formally declared his intention to contest in Gusau, Zamfara State capital in a mammoth crowd, during a meeting with Football stakeholders in the state. He had much backing from across the nation particularly from the north.
He will now pilot the affairs of the nation’s football administration for the next four years.
