Iheanacho rescues Man City as Moses sparkles in Chelsea 4-0 rout of Man United
Manchester City did enough to return to the top of the Premier League as they rallied back to a 1-1 draw with Southampton, having gone behind after a calamitous error from John Stones only for Kelechi Iheanacho to bail Pep Guardiola’s side out of trouble. Iheanacho came into the game as a substitute and it took his goal-poaching zeal to equalize for City to keep the final score at 1-1. Â Nathan Redmond had capitalized on City defender John Stones’s poor back-pass to put Southampton ahead.
Elsewhere, Nigeria’s Victor Moses tormented the backline of Manchester United when the visited Chelsea. The Jose Mourinho men were humbled 4-0 in an anti-climax match in which Chelsea dominated play from start to finish.
