Iheanacho scores, Iwobi make huge impact as City, Arsenal win big in EPL
Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho’s rating as one of the best strikers in Europe continues to soar as he made one goal and scored another in the Manchester City rout of visiting Bournemoth. City won by 4-0 in a match that saw Kevin De Bruyne excelling once more as a playmaker and marksman. The victory makes it eight wins out of eight in all competitions for City under Pep Guardiola.
In a post-match interview, Iheanacho said he was feeling good about his form and the fact that his team was playing well. “I am happy, the team is happy and the manager is happy”, he said.
Elsewhere, another Nigerian, Alex Iwobi, made huge impact when his team, Arsenal, visited Hull City and came out with an impressive 4-1 result. Iwobi got the starting shirt and he more than justified the confidence Arsene Wenger reposed in him. He opened scoring for Arsenal, although the goal seemed to have been credited to Alexis Sanchez who got the last touch on the ball fired by Iwobi.
