Police arrest syndicate with human head in Bauchi as accident claims four lives
The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested Maikudi Mohammed male and 25 years of Galambi village for possession of human head wrapped inside a cloth in Misau Town.
Preliminary investigation revealed that suspect conspired with his accomplice one Damina Mohammed male and 26 years of the same address went to a grave yard in Galambi village and removed the head of a male child Corpse in order to sale it to their Customer now at large.
The principal suspect confessed that the child was his Son who died and was buried but he later went back to the graveyard at night with his accomplice and exhumed it.
The case is under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.
Meantime, on Monday July 10, 2016 at about 4pm, there was a fatal motor accident at Miya Berkete village in Toro Area of Bauchi State.
The accident occurred when an Opel Vectra with REG No FH 277 ABC, driven by one Saadi Abdullahi male and 35 years of Plateau State conveying five passengers from Jos-Bauchi while on high speed brushed a motorcyclist named Jibrin Haruna and his pillion.
As a result, the driver lost control of the vehicle and had a head on collision with an oncoming Golf 3 vehicle, blue in color with REG. No.BSA 306 SC, driven by one Moses Dabo male and 34 years of Jos conveying five passengers from Bauchi.
Police Patrol team attached to Toro Division visited the scene and rushed casualties to General hospital Toro for medical attention.
Meanwhile, four female passengers were certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor while nine other occupants including three female youth corps members, two drivers, a motorcyclist cyclist and his passenger and one CPL Rabiu Othman, male of NPF, serving in Nasarawa Command were referred to ATBU Teaching hospital Bauchi for treatment.
The deceased persons Maryam Usman female and 18 Years of Tilden Fulani, Hajara Idris female and 25 years; Amina Shuabu female and 7 years and Dayiba Musa female and 25 years all of Rukuba Town in Plateau State.
However, the injured victims identified and referred to ATBU Teaching hospital Bauchi for treatment include, Esther Enock female and 27 years old youth Corper serving at Treasury, Ministry of Finance Bauchi; Samina Sami female and 23 years Serving at Faith Revival School, Rafin Zurfi Yelwa; Rosemary Surname and address yet to be ascertained; Hauwau Umar female and 10 years of Tilden Fulani and Kethren Markus female and 35 years of Yelwa and her seven years old daughter one Joy Markus.
The Corpses have been released to relatives for burial after post-mortem examinations and Case under investigation.
